How is it that Seelenlos knows more about Alice Dreger and ISNA than those of us in the United States? How is it that Seelenlos is not aware that almost ALL former ISNA members have rejected what Alice Dreger and ISNA have done and formed their own Intersex Collective? (1) How is it that Seelenlos has not read that three of the people in the DSD Guidelines made Alice Dreger retract their inclusion in that publication? (2) How is it that Seelenlos does not understand that the Accord Alliance which is the new organization in the United States founded by Cheryl Chase and others PROMOTES intersex genital mutilation because it is in favor of the LWPES guidelines which has already published it Consensus on infants with CAH which recommends surgeries between 2 and 6 months? (3) How is it that Seelenlos does not understand that ISNA and Dreger, after 15 years of activism have had no effect whatsoever in the number of infants subjected to normalization treatments without consent? The statistics prove that nothing has changed.

I think Seelenlos would be better to be open minded and read FACTS objectively.

I would also point out to Seelenlos that Dr. Meyer-Bahlberg is a strong supporter of the Chicago Consensus which is what the new Accord Alliance is also supporting.

After speaking with Sophie Siedlberg from the United Kingdom, this was her personal response:

“It seems very interesting that this German-speaking group is very happy to spring to the defense of Alice Dreger, considering that Alice Dreger and the one academic that she defends a lot, J Michael Bailey, preach eugenics and also seem to focus almost exclusively on the feminization of intersex children when discussing human rights issues.”

The new organization which Bo Laurent (real name of Cheryl Chase) has helped found appears to be very pro-surgery. If you read the website of the Accord Alliance, you will notice that the mission of the Accord Alliance is to support the Consensus Statement.
